TERMS OF SERVICE

 

SERVICES

 

​Full Service Subscriptions may be purchased for either weekly (36 mows annually) or bi-weekly (18 mows annually). Full service subscriptions include mow service, 1 pre-emergent application (March), aeration (April), 2 fertilizations (May/October), comprehensive weed control and full scale debris removal (March/December).

Mowing Subscriptions may be purchased for either weekly (36 mows annually) or bi-weekly (18 mows annually), which includes trimming, edging and blowing, as well as weed control.

​

Weekly vs. Biweekly Service impacts your lawn in more ways than cost and appearance; It is crucial for the health and appearance of your lawn to NOT trim more than 1/3 of the length of your grass. More than this CAN impact the health and appearance of your lawn. 

​

On-Demand Services such as additional debris removal, hedge trimming and garden maintenance may be scheduled as needed or seasonally.

Debris Removal is typically measured in cubic yards. For our purposes we measure debris removal by leaf bags. One leaf bag is equal to approximately 1/7 of one cubic yard, which is equal to 30 gallons of debris. Lawn debris includes leaves, sticks, acorns and cut grass. Acorn removal is by weight and is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Debris removal must be requested in advance and scheduled independent of your reoccurring lawn service. Debris removal is only available to active lawn care subscribers. **Lawn case subscriptions include removal of leafs and debris from all hard surfaces by being blown and mulched into the grass, however, bagging is extra and may be added on a case by case basis.**

Garden Service including hedge trimming and weeding are available to all active lawn care subscribers as either one-off or repeat service throughout the season. ​​​​

We currently offer three types of Aeration: spike, plug and liquid aeration, which perforates the soil allowing air, water, and nutrients to most effectively penetrate the roots of your grass. Aeration is recommended for Texas lawns 2 times per year, once mid-spring and again mid-autumn. Liquid aeration is the primary form used by Lantman Standard.

Sprays such as weed killer are recommended on an as needed basis. All subscriptions include weed control during which this spray may be used on your lawn. In ALL cases, it is recommended to keep pets and children off from treated areas for 2-3 hours after applications, or until dry.

Everyone should use Spreads including fertilizer and pre-emergent. The recommended frequency in Texas for fertilization is at least 2 times a year, applied in April and September. We also recommend pre-emergent 1 time per season in early March.​ ​

Our treatments are NOT pet friendly, and NOT organic. Both organic and pet friendly are available at an additional cost.  After treatments are applied please water in.  If you have a wife controller for your irrigation consider sharing access with Lantman Standard for this purpose).

Landscaping services including, but not limited to, sod, fencing, irrigation, drainage and tree care are offered at Lantman Standard in conjunction with our fully insured and licensed contractors. 

 

BILLING

 

Our Pricing is determined primarily by the square footage of your lawn, however, occasionally factors such as excessive edging or height of grass and or hedges may necessitate switching to a "time model" for service. In the rare instance this is necessary it will be discussed prior to first service.  â€‹

 

Payments for smaller jobs must be time stamped no later than 10 business days after completion of work. Larger jobs will require advance payment to schedule. Failure to make any payment in a timely manner may result in discontinuation of service. All subscriptions will be billed monthly, via recurring Billing: March-December. (Please note there are 4.3 weeks, on average, per month which accounts for the "per service" price located under the monthly price for each lawn care subscription). There will be no installments on January or February. In the rare instance that service is delayed due to extreme weather for a period of time that exceeds half the time to your next service, the customer may request to skip said service and apply that credit too another service offered at Lantman Standard.

From the moment your lawn care Installments with Lantman Standard begins, and for the duration of the season, the agreed upon pricing for your services will not be increased. The only exception to this is if the cost of fuel in Dallas crosses $4.00 per gallon, or if the cost of other necessary materials, including but not limited to spreads, sprays and seed, increase by 10% or more during the course of your 10 month installment period.  In this event, a surcharge may be added for the duration of your service or until the additional material costs decline back below the market cost increase. Any changes in pricing will always be communicated with clients in advance to processing and services.

Unless requested otherwise all charges for lawn care and landscaping will be charged to the customers payment method on file.

Service Requests may be made at www.lantmanstandard.com/services. or by emailing support@LantmanStandard.comBe as detailed as possible when completing the request to ensure we pair you with the subscription/service that matches your lawn care needs. Include information such as desired frequency of mowing, lawn treatments, hedge trimming, etc. Please provide a picture(s) to receive your FREE estimate. On site estimates are available when requested for a nominal fee. A Lantman Standard representative will be in touch within 1 business day of submitting your service request.

Hours of Operation are 9-7, Monday-Friday. Lawn care subscribers will have a "set" recurring day of service. Please note that on days of extreme heat of thunder showers service may be moved to the following day. Occasionally due to prolonged severe weather service may be moved to the weekend. When this becomes necessary an email or text will be sent to your preferred contact method. 

 

Service Areas should be reasonably clear of objects and debris to receive service. Service areas not cleared of "old" pet waste may not receive service, so please clear prior to service. Unless otherwise discussed, lawn care quotes are based on grass that is 6 inches in height or shorter. Grass taller than 6 inches may accrue an additional 20% service fee. Gates must be unlocked to receive lawn service in these areas. We highly recommend providing Lantman Standard with the key or code for entering these areas, as we cannot always guarantee date and time of service due to occasional weather.

Cancellations happen, however, scheduled services cancelled within 24 hours of completion may accumulate a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made the same day as the scheduled service may accrue a 100% cancellation fee. At times Lantman Standard may have to cancel service due to extreme weather conditions (such as extreme heat or rain) in which case we will communicate and reschedule service in as timely a manner as possible, typically within 48 hours of the scheduled date and time of service. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time without accumulating a cancellation fee, however, depending on where the cancellation falls in the billing cycle there may be a balance due for service rendered.

Gate Access â€‹is essential in order to mow lawns inside gated areas. It is highly recommended that you provide either the code or spare key to Lantman Standard for accessing all applicable gated areas.  

​

Skimming of pools may be needed after completion of mowing service for some customers. If this is the case, Lantman Standard will gladly take care of this. If grass around pool areas is overgrown and lands in your pool during service there MAY be an additional charge to skim, however, this will be discussed prior to service if applicable.

Lantman Standard is fully insured by Hiscox Insurance group. A certificate of insurance (COI) is available upon request.
